+ Will Hannah ride or work with my horse during the lesson?

Yes! While Hannah mostly tries to have the rider execute the skills they are learning themselves, she will step in intermittently either to demonstrate a technique, teach the horse a new concept, or work through a spot of confusion or resistance. In other words, she is very hands on and active; not a vague, yell-from-the-fenceline type of trainer!

+ What's the cost?

Lessons with your own horse are $65.00/hr. Lessons with one of our lesson horses are $70.00/hr.

 On-the-Road Private Lessons

An exclusive hands-on workshop tailored just for you and your horse – When and where you choose! No matter where you are located in the country, Hannah can travel directly to your home or facility and help you towards your horsemanship goals. Unlike a clinic, this is a personalized learning experience - We work with you to create the curriculum of your private lesson: addressing specific problems, incorporating new concepts you want to learn or teach your horse, and adjusting the application to your discipline and personal ambitions.

How It Works:

  • Private Lessons can be held at your home or facility of your choice.

  • You will receive 7+ hrs of instruction per day at a flat daily rate.

  • You can choose to share your Private Lesson with up to 6 people in either a group format, or individually. This is a fun way to split costs, plus learn from other people and their horses as well!

  • This is a lesson customized for YOU! We will fix any specific problems that you are having with your horse, refine skills you already have, and work on new things too - all while focusing on your end goal or discipline.

  • At the end of your Private Lesson you will receive a written “Progress Plan” detailing the techniques and exercises you learned, success tips specific to you and your horse, and an outline for continued improvement.

  • Also included is on-going mentorship through video exchange, phone and email. All for FREE.

+ How is the private lesson day structured?

Lessons typically run from 9am to 6pm and include a 1 hr lunch break midday. However, we can modify the structure based on your goals, number of participants, and how you would like to spend the day! If there are multiple participants, we can teach everyone in a group, or break the day down into individual time slots. We want you to get the maximum value from this experience – in whatever format works best for you!

+ If I host a private lesson, is it my responsibility to arrange travel?

No, we take care of all travel arrangements and logistics – flights, lodging, and ground transportation. We want organizing a private lesson to be as simple and easy as possible for you! Also, we sometimes give multiple lessons in a region consecutively – this in turn can help split travel costs. We always try to travel as economically as we can! Booking your private lesson at least 90 days in advance allows us to fly at very reasonable prices.

+ What are your facility requirements?

We do not need a top-notch facility to deliver great results. While some clients will rent an arena or a local facility, it is not required, and we are happy to work with you on your home-turf too! Sometimes training at your home is even more beneficial because we get to see your usual habits/routines and your horse’s behavior/attitude in a normal, day-to-day setting. We can also give you training ideas and exercises that directly utilize the space you have available at your home.

+ How do I book a private lesson?

If you are interested in setting up a private lesson, contact Hannah directly. We can answer any questions that you have, discuss your goals for your lesson and work together to come up with a game plan!
